This 12 1 heavyweight sleeper car is aluminum with black lettering and runs on 6 wheel passenger trucks. Built in the early 1940s, Knickerbocker was originally painted silver, before receiving Pullman green paint in the mid 1940s. In the late 1940s, it was repainted into a shadow line scheme to resemble the corrugated body sides of other cars on the roster.
