Each vigorous clump produces dozens of flower spikes once established. The May borne (in NC) cactus dahlia type flowers are composed of frilly white petals suffused with chartreuse at the base of the petals and pink toward the tips. This is destined to be a star in the South where peonies are often just a pipe dream.
