The Matsui 'Peated' Japanese Whisky Hibiscus a hint of peppery spicesThe Matsui is a line of single malts whiskies produced by the Matsui Kurayoshi distillery, first founded in 1910. The distillery has access to fresh spring water from the Tottori prefecture wilderness, which serves as the base for all spirit production. The Peated expression is distilled from peated barley and produced in a manner similar to that used for Islay style Scotch. It is matured in ex Bourbon casks and is presented without chill filtration
