Hosta American Halo Perennial Plant of the Year white spadix(aka: H. 'Northern Halo' Wade Form) When H. 'Northern Halo' (a cream edged H. sieboldiana) was first tissue cultured, many different mutations occurred. Growers such as Ohio's Van Wade collected them all and then selected the best to name and propagate. That resulting plant was named H. 'American Halo'.
