The upright green stems are clothed in 1" wide x 4" long glossy evergreen leaves. Disporopsis bakerorum was only published by botanist Aaron Floden as a new species in 2015, and is suspected to have originated in the wild as a cross of Disporopsis pernyi x Disporopsis fuscopicta.
