We have grown Primula japonica for over a decade along the edge of our woodland stream among pitcher plants

5" wide dark green leaves with virtually no yellow flecking

but the correct cultivar name seems to be 'Maculata'

This cobra lily is very dramatic in the woodland garden once it spreads to form nice colonies!
