Securing the Parliament of Ghana with Advanced Dual-View X-Ray and Baggage Scanners

AWLS Ghana Limited successfully completed the supply and installation of three state-of-the-art dual-view X-ray scanners and baggage scanners for the Parliament of Ghana as part of a strategic initiative to enhance security within the parliamentary chamber. The project was aimed at preventing the entry of unauthorized and dangerous materials, including firearms, ceramic weapons, and hazardous liquids, into the chamber.

AWLS Ghana Limited conducted a comprehensive security assessment to identify potential vulnerabilities within the parliamentary premises. Based on the findings, AWLS recommended the deployment of advanced dual-view X-ray scanners, renowned for their ability to provide detailed and accurate imaging of baggage contents from multiple angles. The scanners were specifically configured to detect and isolate concealed weapons and dangerous substances with high precision.

Westminster was selected at short notice as the technical partner for AWLS Ghana Limited, under a 5-year renewable agreement. Westminster deployed a team of security and technical experts to oversee the installation, configuration, and calibration of the scanning systems. The team ensured that the scanners were integrated seamlessly into the existing security infrastructure of the Parliament of Ghana.

AWLS Ghana Limited also conducted an intensive training program for the parliamentary security staff, equipping them with the necessary skills to operate the scanners effectively. The training covered advanced threat detection techniques, system troubleshooting, and real-time response protocols, ensuring that security personnel could respond swiftly to potential threats.

The screening systems were brought to full operational capacity within a short period, providing parliamentary security with real-time, high-resolution imaging and automated threat alerts. The advanced dual-view technology ensures that all materials entering the chamber are thoroughly screened, significantly reducing the risk of security breaches.

AWLS Ghana Limited remains responsible for the ongoing maintenance and servicing of the scanners, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Regular maintenance schedules and system upgrades are conducted to keep the scanners functioning at peak efficiency, providing continuous protection for the Parliament of Ghana.

Through this project, AWLS Ghana Limited has reinforced its position as a trusted partner in high-security installations, delivering world-class security solutions tailored to the unique needs of the Parliament of Ghana.
